Terms of Service

These terms apply to all services provided by Forward Slash (hereinafter "we" or "ConsentChecker.eu"), available at consentchecker.eu.

1. The Service

ConsentChecker.eu performs an automated technical scan of a website to check whether tracking scripts load before user consent. The free scan shows a summary of findings. The paid report (one-time payment) contains a detailed analysis, screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

The scan is a technical measurement, not legal advice. ConsentChecker.eu makes no statements about legal liability and does not guarantee that following our recommendations ensures compliance with all applicable laws.

2. Acceptable Use

  • You may only scan URLs of websites you are authorised to scan (your own website or that of your client).
  • You may not use the service to scan third-party websites without authorisation, or to overload our infrastructure.
  • Automated use (scrapers, bulk API calls) is only permitted with prior written consent.

3. Payment and Delivery

  • The paid report is unlocked immediately after successful payment via Stripe.
  • The report is available for 30 days via the unique report URL. Keep this URL or the email you receive after payment.
  • Payment is one-time. There are no recurring charges for the report.

4. Right of Withdrawal and Refunds

The report is delivered digitally immediately after payment. By completing payment you consent to immediate delivery and waive your right of withdrawal under applicable consumer law.

In the event of demonstrable technical failures on our part (report unavailable, incorrect scan data) we will contact you and offer a resolution or refund.

5. Availability

We aim for high availability but make no guarantees. Scans may fail if a website is unavailable or actively blocks bots. In that case you will receive an error message and no payment will be taken.

6. Liability

ConsentChecker.eu is not liable for damages resulting from the use of the service, incorrect scan results, or decisions made based on our reports. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service.

7. Intellectual Property

Scan reports are intended for your own use. Resale or commercial distribution of reports without permission is not permitted.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands.

9. Affiliate Links

Some links on consentchecker.eu to external software vendors (such as CMP providers) are affiliate links. If you purchase a product via such a link, we may receive a commission from the vendor. This does not affect the scan, the report or our technical assessment. We only mention products we consider relevant for the target audience of this site.
