Privacy Policy

ConsentChecker.eu is a service by Forward Slash (CoC 09181354), based in the Netherlands. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and what your rights are.

What data do we collect?

  • Scanned URL — the website URL you enter for scanning. We store this to show you scan results and, if you scan the same site again, to show you what changed.
  • Email address — only if you purchase a report, or if you leave it to register interest in monitoring. We use it to deliver the report, or to tell you if we build monitoring.
  • Payment data — processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card details; Stripe processes these under their own privacy policy.
  • Technical log data — IP address and browser type are stored in standard server logs (Google Cloud Run). Retention: maximum 30 days.

Why do we use your data?

  • Performing the requested scan and displaying results
  • Delivering the report
  • Sending the report by email (via Loops)
  • Notifying you if we build monitoring, if you left your email address for that purpose
  • Improving the service (anonymised statistics)

Retention periods

  • Free scan: 7 days
  • Paid report: 30 days
  • Email addresses left for monitoring interest: until you ask us to delete them
  • Server logs: maximum 30 days

Third parties

We share your data with the following processors, solely for the purpose of delivering the service:

  • Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Firestore) — hosting and storage; data centres in the EU (europe-west4, Netherlands)
  • Stripe — payment processing; own data processing agreement and privacy policy
  • Loops — email delivery and the monitoring-interest list; own data processing agreement
  • Anthropic — AI analysis of scan results; no personal data is sent to the AI (only technical scan data)

We never sell your data to third parties.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, and the right to object to processing. Contact us at info@consentchecker.eu. We respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority).

Cookies

ConsentChecker.eu does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Only functional cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the service (session) are used. No consent is required for these.

Ads and click IDs

If you reach our site through a Google ad, the link you clicked contains a click ID (gclid, gbraid or wbraid). It is a code from Google that makes that single click recognisable.

Before we do anything with it, we ask for your consent. If you say no, we discard the code immediately and the scan runs anyway; we do not ask again and the service is not changed by your answer. If you say yes, we store the code with your scan and later send it back to Google from our own server, together with the event (a completed scan or a paid report), so we can see which ads work.

Nothing is stored on or read from your browser for this. There is no cookie, pixel or advertising script on our site; the sending happens afterwards, from our server.

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We also record whether you said yes or no, when, and which wording you were shown, because we must be able to demonstrate that consent was actually given.

You can withdraw your consent at any time via info@consentchecker.eu. We then delete the click ID held with your scan and retract the event previously sent to Google. Retention of the click ID: a maximum of 90 days, the window in which Google can still attribute a click to a conversion.

In that email, please name the address you had scanned and roughly when, or the link to your report, so we can find your scan. A withdrawal we cannot match to a scan is a withdrawal we cannot carry out.

Security

All communication takes place over HTTPS. Data is stored in the European Union. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure your data.
