Although Cookiebot and Enzuzo both offer a cloud-based Consent Management Platform (CMP) that is cross-platform deployable via a JavaScript, they target a different part of the market. Do you opt for pure scanning compliance or for e-commerce workflows?
Where they are identical
Both platforms process (log) the given consent of your website visitors in their respective clouds. They prevent tracking scripts from firing before your visitor has given their agreement via the banner. Both provide the required connection with Google Consent Mode v2, which is essential for your advertising budget.
Where the difference lies
Core Focus and Extras. Cookiebot (Denmark) is a pure compliance player. The tool focuses 100% on perfectly scanning and classifying cookies and trackers, with detailed audit trails (evidence logbooks). A policy generator is lacking, however. Enzuzo (Canada) goes much broader, specifically for (Shopify) webshops. Alongside the banner, they offer an automatic generator for policy documents, and a portal to efficiently handle incoming data requests from your customers (DSARs).
Data Streams. Cookiebot processes your consent data within the strict walls of the European Union. Enzuzo stores and processes the data in Canada (a country outside the EU with an adequacy decision). For most companies fine, for some government institutions a 'red flag'.
Pricing Model. Cookiebot uses a variable subscription calculated on the number of subpages of your website (starting around $7/month). Enzuzo (starting at $9/month) is not based on the number of subpages, but raises prices as you exceed your limits for data requests or domains. For massive websites, Enzuzo is often cheaper; for small web pages, Cookiebot.

Our recommendation
For the broad SME market and web agencies, we recommend Cookiebot. Because Cookiebot is the market standard in the EU, it guarantees EU hosting and the tool integrates almost flawlessly ("out of the box") with any random marketing tool or tracker you can imagine.
Choose Enzuzo if you run a webshop (regardless of the large amount of product pages) where generating policy documents and centrally handling customer requests (DSARs) in a dashboard will save you a lot of time and frustration.
Setting up a banner does not equal compliance. Most violations occur post-installation because scripts still load too early via Google Tag Manager. Always run a free scan after configuration to verify it actually works.
