Complianz vs Enzuzo

Which cookie consent tool fits your site best?

At first glance, Complianz and Enzuzo seem similar: both platforms promise to automate your legal compliance, and both systems include policy generators. However, the underlying systems, as well as the target audience, are completely different.

Where they are identical

Both platforms make your website (or webshop) compliant with the GDPR and CCPA by pausing the placement of cookies until a visitor has agreed to this. While many bare banners leave you to fend for yourself regarding documentation, both Complianz and Enzuzo automatically generate a cookie and privacy statement for your website. Naturally, they seamlessly support the latest Google Consent Mode v2 requirements.

Where the difference lies

Local Plugin versus Cloud. Complianz is a Dutch plugin specifically designed for WordPress. The data is 100% locally stored on your own web server (within the EU), and the tool does not run as a standalone cloud subscription. Enzuzo (from Canada) is a cloud application (SaaS). You integrate it via a script on any given platform. Note: with Enzuzo you are dependent on their external data servers in Canada, which falls outside the EU (despite the adequacy decision).

DSAR (Privacy Requests). Enzuzo explicitly positions itself towards SaaS companies and e-commerce (like Shopify). Alongside a banner, Enzuzo offers a customer portal to efficiently and automatically handle incoming privacy requests (DSARs, or Data Subject Access Requests). Does a customer want to request or delete their data? Enzuzo streamlines that process. Complianz does not possess such DSAR workflows.

Pricing Model. Complianz operates with a fixed annual license (starting around $5/month). Enzuzo uses a tiered subscription model (starting at $9/month) that increases as you desire higher limits for domains and DSAR requests.

Our recommendation

For websites and regular webshops running on WordPress (WooCommerce), we recommend Complianz. The deep technical integration, local EU storage, and fixed cheap price make it the safest and most rewarding choice for this specific CMS.

Choose Enzuzo if you run an external webshop (such as Shopify or Magento) with a substantial and active customer base, where automating recurring privacy requests (DSARs) from customers has become a hard business requirement.

Setting up a banner does not equal compliance. Most violations occur post-installation because scripts still load too early via Google Tag Manager. Always run a free scan after configuration to verify it actually works.
